The Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) are set to acquire additional EVA M light intensifiers from Senop in a deal worth EUR 19.9 million, with delivery scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
The acquisition is based on a military optronics framework agreement established last year with the FDF Logistics Agency and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). This framework agreement allows both nations to efficiently and economically procure capabilities that enhance and sustain the combat effectiveness of their armed forces.
Senop stated that their EVA M (known as VV M25 in Finnish service) is a very lightweight and compact light amplifier, based on the basic structure of the Senop EVA light amplifiers delivered to the FDF in 2019–2024, with features that have been further developed based on end-user requirements.
The light intensifiers created by Senop and produced in Finland incorporate advanced aspherical and composite technologies, leading to high-performance devices that are compact and remarkably lightweight.
