Safran to deliver infrared multifunction binoculars to the German Bundeswehr

The procurement office of the German Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) has chosen Safran Electronics & Defense Germany to provide the German armed forces with the newest generation of portable infrared observation binoculars.

These binoculars will enhance the operational capabilities of the German infantry by addressing a broad spectrum of operational requirements, such as day and night observation and target acquisition, regardless of weather conditions and even in environments where Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is unavailable.

“We thank the BAAINBw for their trust in Safran Electronics & Defense and are proud to offer our technological innovations in night vision and observation to the German armed forces,” says Marzell Schiller, CEO of Safran Electronics & Defense Germany.
